4 ideas worth thinking about.

We love getting comfortable and we have to admit that it’s not a bad place to be.

I think that rainy days should be spent at home with a cup of coffee and a good book. But, no matter the weather is nothing better than chatting with friends and spending time on social media all day long.

However, getting too comfortable in your life could mean sabotaging your success. It’s not easy because exploring and trying new things means being prepared to welcome a lot of uncertainty.

The ones that are in a search of doing something that matters in life need to realize early on that into a rough pathway is where the magic happens.

Amid discomfort often comes growth and a new perspective on life. We heard this many times maybe, but, even so, we just don’t like feeling uncomfortable.

Some of us are even trying to buy off the awkward uncomfortable feeling without even realizing it. We do so by avoiding risk-taking, not going that extra mile, or just by ignoring what great value continuing learning has to offer.

I always advocate for getting balance right, going into a deeper state of relaxation is important and for sure all of us deserve more of that. But, also, when becoming too comfortable… well, we may fall asleep.

Falling asleep is sweet and healthy, while sleeping through life may bring a thorny bouquet of regrets.

I am a firm believer that you can only be in competition with yourself and that nobody needs to have the urge to succeed if they don’t feel like it.

I know also that our comfort zone is the most comfortable bed in life because dreams become alive in our minds, but without getting up from bed we cannot make those dreams happen.

The same, if my comfort zone is in the kitchen, nobody will be able to get me out of there, but myself.

The below is aimed at reminding us of what opportunities we may lose sight of before we sit down in the old comfortable couch.

  1. Blake Mycoskie thinks that getting too comfortable may affect our entrepreneurial path.

Being comfortable can hurt your creative entrepreneurial spirit.

2. Craig D. Lounsbrough says that we may seek comfort intentionally to prevent or minimize what matters.

Comfort is a stance of avoidance rather than the pursuit of excellence.

3. Jon Bon Jovi warns us that when getting too comfortable, life’s opportunities may be lost.

Don’t get too comfortable with who you are at any given time — you may miss the opportunity to become who you want to be.

4. Sue Bird reminds us that we get to know ourselves better when we become uncomfortable.

The one thing you learn is when you can step out of your comfort zone and be uncomfortable, you see what you’re made of and who you are.

We all need to take deep breaths, enjoy life, and sip our coffee. Why not, buy high-quality pillows too!

Just don’t forget why we may miss, while way too comfortable.
