Just What Is This Thing We Call ‘God’?

Experiencing your ‘God-self’ and becoming ‘God Consciousness’.

A Reader’s Question:

I am trying to understand a bit about this unconditional loving “parent” that my soul resonates with, and my mind is trying to find a term to better understand my relationship with it, or the role it has in life.

I feel like it’s very high energy and it is connected to us from our hearts and our souls, and the names we give it can be subjective. I would like the idea of calling it “The Universe”, or “God”, or maybe “The Higher Power”.

The higher dimensions I go to, though, the more cozier it feels.

Answer from Me & My Higher Self:

Defining ‘God”

ON the one hand, “God / Source / The Absolute” is not a “thing” that does anything. On the other hand, it is the “intelligence” and “energy” behind everything that exists now, everything that will exist, and everything beyond existence — including all multiverses.

This paradox is difficult for most humans to comprehend and is actually impossible to describe clearly in words. Because of that, humans tend to anthropomorphize “God” (turn it into a human form or give it human-like qualities).

Your soul resonates with “God” because it is the source of the intelligence and energy of your soul, as well as every other soul in existence. The deeper you go into your soul and your inner self, the closer you get to your “God-self” (there are many names for this).

God Consciousness

THERE is a state of consciousness called “God Consciousness” which has two definitions. One is where we see everything as God or Source. For many, but not all, that seems to be an earlier experience than the second definition.

The second is where we know ourselves as God/Source/All-That-Is. By some definitions, at least, the second definition is when you completely drop all forms of personal identity of any kind (including your body, mind, emotions, ego, experiences, and even your soul) and return to your “God” being.

You do not necessarily remember that because you cannot ‘experience’ it (you dropped all experiencing), you just are being it. If you remember anything about being in absolute God Consciousness, it is simply that something ‘good’ happened, but you cannot say what.

On the other hand, you can be in partial God Consciousness, where your ego is also present. The only issue there is that the ego can claim the experience, which can create what is sometimes called a “spiritual ego”.

Universal Soul / Mind

JUST this side of reality from God is the ‘Universal Soul’ or ‘Universal Mind’. This was the first ‘thing’ that God created when it created the Universe. So it is a form and something that can be ‘experienced’.

We are all “children” or “fractals” of the Universal Soul/Mind. When we read another person’s mind, it is said that we are accessing it through our connection to the Universal Mind, which is often associated with one of the chakras above our head.

So the Universal Soul/Mind is also a ‘form of God’ that is closest to, but still not quite, ‘God’ / ‘Source’ / ‘The Absolute’.
