Pushing Blogging Further by Creating a Medium Publication

I love organisation. Whether it is my cupboard, digital notes, music playlist or even food, a sense of organisation increases productivity and help with a good quality rest too. And while working on the daily tasks, it helps with performance tracking also. Yes! I have organised my tracking also. It comes automatically now.

I want to see my writing grow and also have an organised place to document them. I want to see how my quality changes, what words I frequently use, what happens if my publication gains traction. I have an idea of what it will look like, which means a continuous flow of ideas and a firm purpose to keep delivering the best every day until I have a newsletter of my own.

Now that is the level of organisation I am striving to reach daily. Building an audience takes time. That is why starting a newsletter is a long-term goal that I have set for a future date, probably next year. This year’s goal is to have a successful publication with a frequency of more than one blog per day.

Prerequisites Set For Publication

A publication has it’s own timeline when articles are added, reviewed, edited and final show on the website. But when it is a Medium publication, and all I care about is just writing, the organisation options and most of the formatting is right in front of me in the form of shortcuts provided by Medium.

The only thing I am concerned about is the frequency at which I will publish. Some publications are weekly active, and some have a daily rate. Most of them which I follow post more than just one article every day. And that is the number is want to reach for my publication.

Currently, there will still be only one article per day, but as the publication grows and I have around 100 posts, I will ramp up the frequency and scale up the daily quantity too. It will bring me one step closer to the next goal a friend suggested that is exciting me till now:

Starting a Newsletter

Now, this needs even more organisation and some automation tools to study. I will start a newsletter when I have an organised publication with five blogs a day frequency. The dream’s realisation is pushing me every day to bring it to life. I am satisfied with the frequency right now because I am still learning, and even if I reach the desired daily rate, there will always be a lot to experiment and intensify the activity even more.

This blog belongs to a series of posts I am publishing in this 100-days streak. Navigate to the end of article 22 for the references from day 23 onwards. If you would like to read the ones before day 22, here is the first one that documents them in the end.
