ARC OF THE IMMORTALS/ Book 1 — Part 2

Pursuit: 56/ Looming Darkness

Recap: Jac’s capsule was pulled toward the bottom of the well. It began to implode. A wide photon beam from an unknown source above transects the well. It threw the capsule out of the well. Peace Jac’s spirit

is thrown into the Golden Arc and taken to Earth’s distant past. A second beam drops Peace Jac in spirit form near into a light/dark fountain. The spirit of Peace Jac flies back into the capsule and is reunited with his self. The capsule is above and over The Well of Souls.

Jac is transported back to the Nez. Touzdae is reunited with her bodies and appears in the pilot seat of the Needlecraft. The Needlecraft and the capsule are on the same level. The instruments of the probe are inside the capsule. The shell of the probe is within the paradox rings. The capsule as probe sees the shell of the probe as the Needlecraft.

Bendel and team hunt a creature. Jac travels in the water toward the pool of life. Electrical bolts are fired at the creature which is interrupted by Jac. Jac is thrown out of the pool of life. He is captured and jailed in a transdimensional clear box on the bridge.

Bendel has called a seer named Sarz who was a former lover of Jac’s and has a vendetta against him.

Recap concluded and now…

Bendel’s group of cloaked ships and the Nez Fish surrounded one of the three nests of the swimmer beings. Each of the six cloaked ships produced a force field surrounding the Nez on three sides. One side — open for the attack with Bendel on point.

Three electrical charges stunned the beast. Six more charges forced it into unconsciousness according to scans and Sarz, the seer, who had come aboard. The six ships closed the force field protecting Nez. Bendel guided the Fish in, while Baz and Harry deployed the electromagnetic net. The unconscious outer space swimmer glommed onto the ventral area or keel of the Fish. The Net tightened around the creature. It spread out along the whole bottom of the Fish.

“It’s emitting a distress signal,” Harry reported. “Extremely high pitched, beyond our hearing range.”

“Open a com to all ships and the War Sphere,” Bendel ordered.

“Open, wide band,” Baz announced.

“This is Bendel, prepare to receive all ships and the space swimmers. Numbers unknown. Will advise.”

“All ships reporting in,” Baz said. “War Sphere is approaching 180 degrees open full in three minutes.”

“How are my vitals?” Touzdae asked Maja.

“Approaching normal limits,” Maja said.

“Jac needs my help. I’m preparing to bi-locate to him,” Touzdae said with a peaceful demeanor as she engaged in the 27-breath meditation.

“Please, be careful,” Maja said with concern.

Jac was suspended in Nez’s amniotic fluid in the transdimensional cell. Fitted with a breathing spigot and hose, Sarz controlled his air supply. As he slipped into a deep sleep he remembered thinking, I need a long nap — a long sleep.

After twenty minutes he entered Dreamtime. He was on Earth in the past hurtling down from the sky.

Touzdae saw Jac zooming down from the sky at lightning-fast speeds. Blink, she was in a cell with Hannah, vertigo spun the room. Despite Hannah’s shackles anchored to the wall. The slack was loose enough; Hannah pulled Touzdae from her spot. It was a magnetic action. Fingers drilled in along her neck and back. After Hannah removed her needling fingers Touzdae felt them there digging deeper. But she caught Hannah’s hand in the spin pressing into her skull. It stopped; the vertigo. Hannah slid with Touzdae to the deck.

The questions were still spinning until one question stuck.

“Who has brought me here?”

I am you, the voice put the crisp words into her head. I am what you Antarian Emmons call your Highest Vibrational Self or Hivbrit.

Purpose in being here; again? Touzdae allowed the thought to soak into the cell. Hannah oozed out a slow sly smile on her lips.

Purpose? Touzdae hungered.

Think not only of Jac. Think and feel the plight of all humanoids in the eight closest galaxies. Include the one you inhabit — nine. Your actions here with Hannah, Luna, and Von Deign will determine the fate of all humanoid life. Unimaginable numbers of them under the yoke of darkness if you act not. Touzdae’s Hivbrit left a swirling download of information spinning in a cloud of humidity in the center column of the cell.

It is too much, she thought.

Jac was slicing the air at an angle. His descent was a scalpel and then again a hammer. He entered the light/dark fountain.

Nothing.
