As I was searching for a good image relating to “purple people eaters” I came across a black and white photo of 4 American football players. I had to ask my husband what that was all about. His response was, as always, brief and to the point. “Minnesota Vikings.”

We haven’t yet had our second cups of coffee so he more or less grunted at me.

In my moderately alert (or not) state, I then searched for a good image, license-free preferred, of the Minnesota Vikings. I found quite a few, but as little, as I know about American football, even I know everybody loves cheerleaders (except other cheerleaders). So I went with the above image.

In my moderately caffeinated (or not) state, I found this to be pretty funny and snickered as I typed. It probably isn’t as funny as I thought. It probably isn’t even moderately funny. Nor is it moderately profound.

These 50- and 100-word stories on the other hand are sometimes funny, sometimes profound, always great to read.
