Prompts — Thanking DEP For Brain Exercises
Once a week I get my brain exercises and I enjoy it.

According to Oxford dictionary ‘PROMPT’ has four meanings.
The best one that fits me is, ‘something done without delay; immediate.
“the owner would have died but for the prompt action of two paramedics”
What is a prompt? A prompt consists of 1–3 sentences raising an issue, or asking a question that you will have to respond to in an essay. Most prompts are given out by your teacher as part of timed exams or as essay prompts for an assignment.

I learned about prompts when I joined Medium four years ago. And I find it fascinating how one word or a sentence can hit my brain and I can immediately write a story. Prompts are like the water my brain needs to grow or write a story.
Isn’t that amazing?
While writing prompts I learn more about myself and my ability to think quicker, while extending my innovative imagination, expanding my creative abilities, while sending my brain to places nothing else could. Doing something I enjoy.
Give me a word or a sentence, and I will write you a story.
I didn’t know that I was that good until I was tested by a ‘Prompt.”
Writing prompts are exercise for my brain and I love it.
When Dr. Gabriella Korosi of Dancing Elephant Press invited me to add prompts to their 52 Prompts, I was ecstatic, but a little afraid.
Once a week I get my brain exercises and I enjoy it. I also give them too. I am sorry to see it ended because prompts remove limitations from my brain while stimulating it. Some of my funniest and most creative stories originated from a word or sentence.
I guess I must find my brain exercises elsewhere.
Yes, I am aware that Medium is overflowing with prompts, but DEP prompts are special to me as they come from a place of love and good intentions. Not only from my heart but from all of the contributors and writers.
Sincere gratitude and love to all of Dancing Elephant Press writers, readers, and editors for this grateful opportunity, to not only be a part of their 52-week prompt/brain exercise but to also be a part of The Joys of Life. One of their uplifting, inspiring, and motivating books.
Also, I am honored to be involved in another book of all 52 Prompts. You will love them.
Thank you, Dr. Gabriella Korosi, Nurse Practitioner, creative writer, poet, nature lover, kind-hearted soul, positive world changer, and owner of Dancing Elephant Press, a.k.a DEP for the opportunity to be a part of something amazingly beautiful.
Also, for the many brain exercises, the kindness and love from everyone.
We have a lot more planned for you for 2024. You will enjoy our newest brain teasers in these areas: Life, Wisdom, Relationships, Poetry, and Photography.
