Personally, I do a lot of testing to try to understand which prompts are best to use on Midjourney for every type of scenario to represent, and today, in this story, I wanted to share with you a type of prompt that I find very useful for restaurateurs who want to create an impactful photo menu that can be presented both online and on paper.

Of course, I will show a few dishes, but what really matters is understanding the type of prompt to use and customizing it according to what is made in your restaurant.

Now let’s analyze the prompt used in all the images I created with Midjourney.

First of all, I specify that my intention is to create food photographs, and therefore I start each prompt with “food photo”.

Then I go on to insert the type of food that I intend to represent in the image, trying to be as detailed as possible.

Next, I tell the AI that the image must be extremely appetizing, and therefore I add “extremely appetizing”.

I continue by adding to the prompt that the image must be very detailed, and therefore I add “high detail”.

Since the final result I want is an image that is suitable for printing on media such as magazines, I add “professional magazine” to indicate that the result must be an image suitable for printing in a trade magazine.

I personally really like the result, and I’m sure many restaurateurs would make a great impression by presenting this type of image to their customers.

The nice thing is that this type of prompt can also be helpful to restaurateurs who are short of ideas and want to create appetizing dishes like those shown in the images they are creating, so they could even reverse the process.

Basically, the restaurateur creates the image first and then tries to present the cooked food in the exact same way as it is depicted in the image.
