What does the concept of “home” evoke within your mind? The very essence of the word “home” encapsulates ‘OM,’ a sacred sound representing the universe.

For me, home resides not only in the physical space of my backyard but within the depths of my being. This profound realisation dawned upon me years ago, a revelation I reached after an extended period of mental abuse.

In my quest to heal the pain I was struggling with during that challenging time, I sought assistance from various sources, including healers, spiritual churches, acupuncture, reiki, and more. However, each remedy offered only a fleeting sense of solace.

It was only when I truly comprehended that my true home was within myself that I found lasting peace and healing.

The word “home” makes me feel cozy and safe, and the home I reside in reflects that feeling. Two years ago, we made a big decision to move to the Highlands of Scotland, completely changing our lives.

My husband and I didn’t know how things would turn out, but we believed it would be okay. In Scotland, I feel alive and happy, like this land is where I’m supposed to be.

I feel a strong connection to the earth here like it’s a big part of me. For the past two years, we’ve been building a house on top of a hill with amazing views. The moment I stood on the land, it felt like a perfect place — almost like heaven. And that, to me, is what home signifies: a small piece of heaven on earth, within and without.
