Praying Scriptures at Bedtime Offers You a Worry-Free and Restful Sleep
Let’s equip ourselves with God’s promises to carry us through the night

At the close of your day before you lay your head on the pillow, pray God’s word for you.
I know it is easy to ask God to give sleep for your weary bones. But, did you know He has already promised you to have a good night’s sleep?
It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. (Psalm 127:2, NKJV)
When we pray His Word, it transforms our prayers into glory for what He has provided for us. We acknowledge God has provided for us a night of stress-free sleep.
Here’s another promise God made to ease our mind when we close our eyes to sleep.
There is therefore, now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1, NKJV)
Let your worries go, you are sleeping in a condemnation-free zone tonight.
Take hold of this promise. God will protect you and your family all through the night.
Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14, NKJV).
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11, NKJV).
What a comfort for us to know God’s mighty angels surround our homes as we sleep.
Ah, when we wake in the morning God assures us His love, grace, and mercy continues into the new day for us.
Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song will be with me, A prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8, AMP)
This verse is a two-for-one. One, God assures us He will be with us when we wake up. Two, He will give us restful songs through our night.
My bedtime prayer

Dear Lord,
As I go to bed tonight I thank You for for a good night of sleep. I receive the promise You gave Your beloved, (which is me), sound sleep.
I thank You for forgiving and cleansing me of all sin, so I do not have any worries tonight.
Father God, thank you for surrounding my house with angels to protect us as we sleep. Thank you Lord for peaceful songs through the night. And tomorrow will be a day full of Your promises because You promised to be with me.
I love you, Lord Jesus.
Amen.
There is one caveat to what I wrote
These promises apply to believers in Jesus Christ. If you have not accepted Him as Savior, you are on your own. Relying on your pillow alone for a good night’s sleep won’t get you there. Jesus will. Why not accept Jesus into your life today. Then you can claim these promises for a sleep-well experience.
Good night,
Richard
