Power to The Grandmas!
Submission guidelines

This publication is open to all. We want this to be extra clear.
You don’t have to be a grandma to write for us, but your story has to be about grandmas or grandpas in some way.
Why is the publication called Grandma Power, then? Because, as grandpas know very well, grandmas have the power!
Content:
- What we are looking for
- Rules you have to follow
- Suggestions
- Bios and links to other stories
- How to become a writer for Grandma Power
- Who are the editors? What we are looking for
We want to publish stories that are about grandmas and grandparents in general. It doesn’t have to be from your point of view as a grandma. For example, a granddaughter is more than welcome to write about her grandpa.
We are particularly interested in what it’s like for you to be a grandma/grandpa or what it’s like for you to be a grandson/granddaughter.
- What are the family dynamics?
- How do you try to be a better grandma/pa/son/daughter?
- What are your favorite memories linked to time spent with grandparents/children?
These are only suggestions. We welcome any stories that are related to grandparents.
Rules you have to follow
#1 — This is a Medium publication. The Medium rules are mandatory.
#2 — No Erotica
We will publish articles about the sexual lives of grandmas and grandpas, but we won’t publish stories erotic at their core. If needed, we recommend Tantalizing Tales by May More.
Suggestions
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Your story is on Medium. It’s your choice, but we recommend following the generally agreed Medium formatting style: capitalize your title, add a subtitle and a picture, etc.
It’s not mandatory, and we will publish stories formatted differently, but if you want people to read your stories, it might be a good idea to present them in a familiar form. You could also create your own style, different from all the others and therefore more visible. It is your choice.
Bios and links to other stories
You’re welcome to add a bio and links to other stories at the end of your article (or in the middle if you so choose). It can be only your stories or stories from other writers. Both works for us.
We will likely add a link to these submission guidelines at the end of your story.
How to become a writer for Grandma Power
Leave a comment on this story, and we will add you.
For extra cookie points, say something nice about the grandmas!
Who are the editors?
I’m the boss and Smillew, my grandson, will do all the work for me as usual because he’s very kind.
I’m his grandma, and he’s my grandson! He has been writing on Medium for quite some time and convinced me to join only recently. But I’ve heard so many Medium stories during our traditional cocoa time that I feel like I’m already a Medium veteran!
If you’re wondering why my name is Grandma Smillew and not Grandma Rahcuef or something else, it’s for branding purposes. We decided it would be better to smile together under the Smillew umbrella!
All the best to all of you, writers and readers! We’re looking forward to publishing and reading your stories.
If you’re looking for a place to publish a story that is not grandma related, we recommend The Pub:
If you’re looking for a place to publish a story about Medium, we recommend All About M:
Grandma Smillew loves her afternoon cup of cocoa, scrabble, and her grandson, Smillew Rahcuef. She’s also a pink belt in social media and marketing strategies. If you want to make her happy, follow her on Medium and write for one of her publications: All About Medium and Grandma Power.
