Portrayal
GiaB writing prompt #20 animalia

Jumping for joy, exciting, energetic, buzzing and buoyant — Tigger made for quite a false representation of tigers all around the world.
Growling, dominant and stuck on a lifeboat, to then be dominated by the triiii triiii triiii of a bright orange whistle possessed by a young Indian boy floating out on the sea, surviving on cans of water and slit turtle throats.
Thank you to Victor Sarkin for the prompt: animalia. I dedicated my poem to the tiger, inspired by the most recent book I’m reading, which is Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Huge caveat: I know very little about the tiger so these two representations of the tiger in Life of Pi and Winnie the Pooh paint a painfully incomplete picture.
