A Poem

Admit it, you’ve always wanted to know what it might have been like

to hoard yourself away in one room

in one house only walking from window to window, taking little peeks

only speaking through a crack in the door only letting people come halfway up the stairs — that’s close enough!

Keeping it all at bay writing the day away, well

poets Rejoice! We are all Emily Dickinson now!
