Your Lips, Breath And…

Humor Poetry June Challenge Day 26

Photo by Adrian Swancar on Unsplash

Holding my slender body in your arm, you lift me close to your dry lips as cracked as a sterile land not watered for many many years,

your breath smells of a fat little mouse dead under the carpet for many many months, even the word *halitosis* won’t fit perfect for breath of this kind,

I know what to expect next,

a public showcase of different varieties of your teeth — jutted, chipped, and crooked shapes with hues of yellow, black and brown stains,

merciless, you rub me against your deformed, stinking, and stained teeth, up and down, back and forth, expecting me to turn them all white,

Oh! You, stinking piece of shit, before it’s too late, take your silly ass to a dentist,

Yours, mishandled toothbrush.
