Poem: Open-Minded
Daily Dose of Philosophy

Our eternal fight for a little piece of truth. Daily routines hold our only certainty. Yet we are blinded to the whole view. Oh! What fear we hold of being wrong, We rather dig deeper into our holes. Yet those that do not try only stall. We’re quick to shut views of those not our own, And keeping to our tiny slivers of truth. For fear of being wrong is always greater. What limits we impose on ourselves. Each view is just a piece of a whole. Yet ours means all! But why is it so? Each view that we meet has a lesson to teach, To be skeptical is to be healthy, To dismiss all is not. Open your minds to the possibility other views have. Strive to see the whole view, For it will make you grow.

Thank you for taking the time and reading my poetry. I hope that you enjoyed it. Stay tuned for more from the Daily Dose of Philosophy.
