Kai — So we are doing a 2022 wrap up. That’s just crazy.

Kristy — Whenever we get to the end of the year I’m like, “Oh, that was the worst, crazy, just ridiculous year,” and then the next year, it’s like, “Oh, no. You know what? That one wasn’t so bad.”

Kai — It went really fast. Just, a lot.

Kristy — A lot. A lot.

Kai — So, we’re doing a 2022 wrap up and 2023 like, walk ahead.

Kristy — Yeah, yeah. And what’s the plan?

Kai — What’s the plan that we won’t do? What’s the plans we can fuck up again?

Kai — the 2023 Plan

Step 1 is to figure out what I want to get done and finalized next year. Going into 2023, there are a few things I want to do: box sets, hardcopies, hardcovers, editing, publishing, and some writing.

Boxsets, hardcopies, hardcovers:

I need to create box sets for Write Now and Living on Purpose. Once the books are done, I can also box up Death Wish Foundation, First Strike, and NUSA. I need to set everything up with hardcopy options and now that Amazon offers hardcover, that could be fun to play with.

Editing, publishing, and writing:

The First Strike series has 5 books coming next year and Death Wish Foundation has 3 books. NUSA is the big mo-fo. I hope to have NUSA Moon part 1 out in January. Then I’ve got another book on the Moon and two on Mars to publish and I’ll potentially write Callisto and maybe Mission. I also have the 3 book Streamlined series that is half-written. Blood of the Covenant (which includes the Awakening and Human Threads sub-series) is mostly ready to go.

Kristy— the 2023 Plan

I came out the other side of NaNoWriMo looking good. I’m well through into the middle of things, so going into next year, I’ll continue working on those projects.

Projects to-be-continued…

I’m well in the middle of Hood and Hook book 2, Tick Tock, which is going swimmingly (all the punniness because sharks and croc). I’m in the middle of book 1 in the Fey Dominion series and Reader of the Pack which I’m pantsing my way through. I’m pantsing my way through Blades too and Matchmaker is also well on the way.

Chaos Divide… exists. It’s always there in the back of my head. I’m still excavating and putting everything in one place rather than having to excavate in the future. Any new thoughts, ideas, and scenes that come up, I write them down and just yeet them into a folder.

Non-Fiction

The first thing I’m going to do next year is to get my nonfiction ADHD Ask book out. I need to write an intro and tidy it up a bit, and then, DO. Do the do.

* Between recording the podcast and release, Kristy did do the do! Why wait until 2023 when you can do it now (external link)?
