No Place Like Home — KTHT is Returning
The Muse is alive and well in my backyard
Glinda arrives within her rainbow bubble as Dorothy stands on the platform in Oz. “I miss home,” Dorothy tells Glinda. “Where is home?” Glinda asks.
Home is the land of KTHT. It is a safe haven where writers and readers raise each other’s awareness and meaningfully engage with each other with courage and vulnerability to grow personally and spiritually.

Home is where like-minded participants in the thinkology club open the tin armor around their hearts and walk through dark forests wearing a Know Thyself, Heal Thyself badge of courage.
The lady behind the curtain stepped away from the publishing control panel two months ago for an overdue break. Running the land of KTHT alone was a daunting task and while fear of the unknown lurked, she knew herself well enough to know she needed to draw the curtains for further healing.
Spiritual Homecoming
I, like many others, felt personal disappointment from Diana C.’s announcement back in November, but at the same time, I had the utmost respect for her decision. Her act of bravery epitomized the spirit she encouraged and supported within all her followers — look deep to get to know thyself first, to allow one to heal thyself.
I relied on Diana’s words that it was not goodbye, but see you later.
I continued my present moment yellow bricks of mindfulness through the land of spiritual intelligence with the help, support, and love of two fellow KTHT alumni sharing their spirited authenticity and personal growth to encourage me. Marcus aka Gregory Maidman and Ravyne Hawke.
I took a turn at the poppy fields through a challenge to surrender a Wicked Witch’s limiting belief of not understanding the language of poetry.
Why KTHT is my home
My yellow brick road is and will forever be my path of awareness of myself to heal my spirit and be comfortable within life’s backyard. My first post on Medium, on April 21st, 2021, was Who Do You Think You Are? I knew nothing about the platform yet hit publish. Crickets played, and it still sits in the archives with not a single view nor comment. Yet, it is one of my most prized stories because it was the first step. I published two more stories that week, with the same result.
I spent the next two weeks learning, exploring, and researching how the platform worked. All advice led to finding a publication suited for my topics and style. Know Thyself, Heal Thyself seemed like a perfect match. My first story to the publication was Are You Trapped in Self-Doubt? I remember Diana C.’s gentleness with me when I submitted my story with a graphic I had created. She replied, “I needed an attribution for the picture.” I said, “I’m new and I don’t know how to do that with my own design.” She substituted a graphic with a private note advising she had done so and published the story. (Her graphic choice was spot on)
Spyder was the first person to comment and became a loyal follower. His soul was like a huge welcoming committee for many of us on KTHT.
In My KTHT Backyard
Imagine my surprise and delight when Diana reached out to me a few weeks ago and asked if I would be interested in being part of a team with Spyder and Ravyne Hawke for the return of Know Thyself, Heal Thyself. Spyder had been on his own hiatus and I am currently a part of Ravyne’s Promptly Written pub with my interpretations of poetry.
What no one else knew was my mentor Marcus aka Gregory Maidman had just recently told me he thought I was ready to do some editing and had a possible project for me. I wondered when Diana approached me if this was the project he had mentioned. It wasn’t! One of the hardest things was to keep this under wraps, as I had given my silent word to Diana, yet I knew his love for his first muse was such a part of his heart.
Synchronicity is a huge part of my Land of Oz. When you are aware of your thoughts, actions, and spiritual intelligence, you align with the healing. So today, I am home and ready for the adventures in my own backyard!
