You need to hurry… but the elf makes a good point.

“Very well,” you say. “Name?”

“Dara Blackfeather,” she replies. “I know these orcs of old.”

You look again towards the forest, dark on the horizon. “How far is it?”

“A few hours to the edge, but then things get hard. Their base shifts around.”

“Then how can we…?”

“First, we set out — unless you need sleep first?”

“No. I couldn’t.”

She nods. “At the trees’ edge, we meet a friend. A practitioner of blood magic.”

“Is that wise?”

“It’s the only way to find them.”

You start to walk.
