AI Image How-To— #5
AI image weapons and armor with Midjourney — secrets revealed!

There will be a regular Monday publication to The Fictioneer’s Treasure Trove explaining how to create stunning AI images. Follow and subscribe to emails so you don’t miss out! Like the pages and leave comments on what you’d like to learn about.
AI Images — #1 covers the basics for obtaining the desired end result of your AI image — whether you want it to look like an amazing painting or an awesome photograph. If you haven’t read through it yet, I recommend you start there.
For each AI publication, I also give you the prompts for each image so you can learn to create stunning images.
Leave a comment of any banned words you've found, please. I'd like to do a future article showing alternative wording!

JF Danskin, you asked for people holding weapons! AI (at this time) has difficulty correctly generating weapons in a hand. It took many, many failed attempts.
I tried uploading a photo of a woman aiming a rifle to base the images on. AI was determined to only give women in hats (as the woman in the image was wearing one) and left out the most important part.
Like any good teacher, I had AI try again, and again, and again until weapons started to show up in the images, even if the ladies weren’t holding them. I felt a small amount of satisfaction to finally reach this pinnacle!
Once the AI began including the weapon, it was those options I chose to create variations of.
As images were generated, I counted the fingers. If there were less than four fingers (or four and thumb where it should be,) those images were of no use, or if there were more than four. I was aiming for commonality!
You’ll see from my prompt below, I generated a wild west goddess holding a rifle. It was my goal to have a wild west theme and utilize one of the ladies in my Hodgepodge Challenge, Welcome to the Wild West.
I gave specifics about the character I was creating (hair, peaceful, proud, gorgeous model, hourglass figure, and symmetrical face.)
The prompt (below) not only lists that I want her holding a rifle but I listed the type of rifle.
Note: I tried to generate this image in NightCafe but was not pleased with the choice it gave me. When I tried to create it again, I was given the same image.

For the image above, I wanted to include a painting style of a woman holding a rifle.
You’ll see from the prompt below, I set the time frame as 1849. I did not continue to generate images for the saloon as I was happy with this.
She’s ready to take out that coyote raiding her chicken coop!
8K octane render, and unreal 5 engine will generate a painting-like image.

Sieran Lane, you requested POC. You can specify a name or nationality! I chose Miyamoto Musashib as who I wanted my character to resemble. (I used Albert Einstein for this AI Images #4.)
Both of these images use the same prompt. AI gave several images of the sword floating with Miyamoto skewered a couple of times.

I told AI to create Miyamoto Musashi holding one sword. In doing this, it almost always generated one sword. Once I had an image where he was holding a sword, I began upscaling those images and creating variations of them.
The AI did very well making him crouch in a fight stance. Some beginning images were very good portraits.
The Japanese garden was a fitting background as I imagined him sparring alone.
I used morning light and soft light to create the early morning feel for these images.

These two images are just because — who doesn’t love kittens?! I fell in love with Ocelots while playing Minecraft.
These were supposed to have leather armor — which the beginning images did, and there is a little bit of leather with the armor!
It was actually much easier to generate these images than work with people…probably the lack of fingers.
I told AI what kind of kitten I wanted with a white and grey spotted ocelot kitten warrior and that it should be a warrior. Teeny tiny adorable told the AI that it should be very small and adorably cute. AI was spot on!

Some of the images generated had a shield hanging at the kitten’s side. I believe if I would have continued generating images, eventually it would have appeared. The more I generated images, the more complex the armor appeared to be.
Obviously, the sword was not on the belt. Some images appeared to have a small knife, but they were not good and therefore, did not make the cut.
As in the Albert Einstein article, I used Pixar style and Pixar fur to generate the cartoon style. If you remember the details in Sully’s fur in Monsters Inc, you’ll notice our kittens show the individual hairs and whiskers, much the same way.
Anthropomorphic gives both kittens the ability to stand on two feet and have the human characteristics I desired.

JF Danskin, I created these to give you a starting point. For both of these images (above and below,) I used chainmail shirt in the prompt. This generated a variety of different details that were quite interesting.

Granted, I don’t know if large rings would have been added as in the above photo, but it was a cool variation.
Image prompt for both men wearing chainmail photos: (above):
Full-body shot of handsome man, chainmail shirt, peaceful, gorgeous model, symmetrical face, field, hyperdetailed, cinematic light, cinematic still shot, 32k, by Mario Testino, by Albert Bierstad, Vogue

After the first two images, I decided to see what AI would generate for medieval chainmail.
These images have more body coverage for combat though I am unsure of accuracy. The chainmail looks more similar to pictures I found on the internet.

The prompt to generate the above images was medieval chainmail.
Desiring more of a battlefield background, I used field for the prompt.

Zane Dickens, you asked for sunglasses!
I decided to use my image for Xoey from my submission (Gone Rogue) to Zane’s Writing Challenge: Villains to Vanquish.
AI created amazing images every time with sunglasses. The sunglasses varied from being partly tinted to full tint (what I was aiming for.)
This shows my complete breakdown of this beautiful weapon (that I normally wouldn’t have shared!)
Image prompt for Xoey wearing sunglasses photos: (above):
Full-body shot, Night goddess with long curling black hair, updo hair, blue eyes, tan skin, peaceful, gorgeous model, muscular, 18 years old, hourglass figure, symmetrical face, black sunglasses, tight black shirt, black leather pants, black boots, full moon, starry night, trees, hyperdetailed, morning light, cinematic still shot, full-shot angle, 32k, by Mario Testino, by Albert Bierstad, Vogue
