Elsie’s goggled at the sleepy guinea pig. That fluffball’s the most beautiful thing… ever!

She swished her fingers towards the glass as if combing its messy auburn fur.

“Eww. I can’t stand rodents,” snapped her mother, grabbing the cuff of Elsie’s burgundy uniform. “Come! The bell is going to ring.”
