Pazzi Pansies

My town just planted pansies, which are perfect plants for this time of the year as they thrive and fill pots with colors in otherwise dead gardens. Check out some shots right after this morning's rain, and discover why I chose this title.

Why pazzi?

Pazzi is the plural of pazzo, Italian for “crazy” or “mad” very often used in positive ways to highly cuteness, joy, etc. For example, you can “go pazzo (of joy)” if something happens that fills you with joy.

I just liked these pansies that looked so cute, and immediately the word game kicked in: pazzi pansies.

Dying and drying a white pansy

Pansies are very good to be dyed with inks, as I found in my experiments:
