Vic woke up, when she turned on her side she was not even sure who she had rolled onto. Whoever it was held her close, but she shook him off and got out of the bed. She finished a glass of wine that was on her bedstand and she looked at her phone. A message from Gen — about Kevin?

WTF, she texted. Kevin?

This was why she was not in a relationship because of stuff like this. After what Kevin and Gen had been through, and he would text her?

She did not want the drama of a relationship. She was over drama, plus she did not miss living with someone. Vic went to the bathroom, then went into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. There she studied her phone for work texts, there were also messages for her on Adult Friend Finder. Vic did not give a shit, she sent a text to someone just the way she looked. Freshly rolled out of bed, with a very loose satin robe.

You are sexy AF, a guy she had been regularly texting texted her.

She pushed down her robe and showed off her full breasts for a picture that she sent to him. Pulling up the robe, she poured a cup of coffee and sprinkled cinnamon on it.

“Come back to bed.”

Vic looked up at the man who had been in her bed. She smirked at him, and actually pulled her robe closer together.

“You are funny,” she said and kissed him on his cheek. He pulled her close, but she pushed back at him and picked up her phone.

Another text from Gen.

WTF? Vic texted. I am coming over.

“Hey…” Vic stared coldly at her guest. He had said on the app that he was not looking for anything serious and now he was acting like this was serious. She wanted him to go, and her Medusa stare must have convinced him because right after that he picked up his stuff and walked out of her apartment.

Why was it so hard sometimes to get them to leave, even when she told them that she did not want anything serious? Maybe it was because some people lied about that but she was not lying. She picked up her phone after a ping.

You do not have to come over, I am fine, Gen texted.

Are you sure?

I am, he does not have the same power over me anymore.

Good.

Vic put down her phone and went to the bathroom. She saw herself in the mirror and took off her satin robe flashing herself. Vic smiled. She had everything she wanted — there was nothing more that she wanted in her life. She had a dream job, great family and friends, and sex whenever she wanted it with a little bit of drama.

But overall the woman she saw in the mirror made her proud. She was happy in her own skin, and that was all she had ever wanted.

Everyone had a Kevin in their past, the thing was could you get past him?

Vic had.
