Past Hardships… Nah! Bright Lessons Made!

Reflections of the past year

Some say that the worst happenings are the first to remember Since they have a bigger impact But why not change it?

Let’s consciously take in the positive The great moments of life It would be much better right?

Let’s leave the harsh times behind Keeping in the lessons learned Not all is wasted The future will be wiser

What happened to those crazy moments? When all you did was laugh?

Did something new pass your way? Or did you walk directly towards it?

Let’s bring those glasses up Cheer for the past Cheer for the bright lessons made

Let’s celebrate a new year What will come our way?

Who knows?! That’s the beauty of life! Let’s live!

Lately, I have been reflecting on many aspects of my life and what I have noticed is that as the years come and go, I’m more mindful.

There are many happy moments I have had throughout this year but most of them are about my family. It’s about how my little family members are learning to be more independent, how are they growing so rapidly?… No!!! WHY?!?! 😅

It’s how I am being able to communicate my feelings and amend already broken relationships. It’s about how I am learning about myself more and how I can grow to be a better person. I am grateful because this has been the light that can shine brighter than anything else.

Many lessons have been learned and I know there are so many more things we can all reflect on. For this, I would like to thank Trista Signe Ainsworth for inspiring us to reflect on ourselves. If you would also like to join in on the prompt, here it is down below.

Do you want to read some more amazing poetry? Or get enticed with birthday cakes? Fear no more! Monoreena Acharjee Majumdar has a great piece where she shares some of her light.

Thank you for reading! If you like short forms, poems, essays, and all types of writings, I invite you to check out my profile Sharing Randomly.

And if you would like to support me in another way and buy me a coffee at this link, I thank you!
