I keep my pantry stocked with these dry staples, so I always have a base for easy go-to’s. Not only is it perfect for something quick, easy, and healthy, but they’re also great on the budget.
Dry Pantry Staples
- Whole wheat and all-purpose flour • Homemade bread in bread machine
- Pasta • Spaghetti, mac and cheeze, lasagna soup
- Dry beans — black, pinto, kidney, and garbanzo • hummus, taco salad, burritos
- Lentils — green and red • Lentil soup, lentil loaf, lentil chili
- Brown and white rice • Mexican rice, cabbage roll soup, rice with curry, stir-fry, burritos
- Oatmeal and cornmeal • Oat muffins, breakfast, oat pecan burgers
- Cocoa powder and PB2 • Smoothies and treats
- Cornstarch, arrowroot, baking powder and soda • Baking and thickening
- Spices • Everything + Mexican oregano for zucchini, onion, and tomato sautee.
