Palimpsest: Memories and Spaces Rewritten
Poetry Prompt: Ruined

To remember that even the Top Seven Travel Spots 2000 Years Ago — the seven wonders of the ancient world — of the ancient world, only one remains intact.
To remember that ruins don’t always mean ruined; in its place, a new story, a new significance.
To remember that even memories once recalled are often rewritten.
whether in physical space, or in memory space, exists a palimpsest — concepts overwritten, nothing ephemeral.
Tagging: Ruchi Thalwal| Jade-Ceres Violet D. Munoz | Caroline de Braganza | Amy Pierovich| Bingz Huang and anyone else interested in today’s prompt: rewritten/overwritten/forgotten.
Can’t wait to house some of these in The Brain is a Noodle! 🧠🍜

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] really loves the concept of a palimpsest, of something that has overwritten something else. It’s intriguing when it happens to places that used to be there but you can’t remember them anymore, and to memories, re-experienced and relived through your current lens every time you recall them. She’s also written about vibrant fall colours & encourages you to read Hope Coalesce’s piece: introverted but willing to discuss books.
Drop me some thoughts/ words/ prompts and I’ll write you a poem.
