Overwatch League - Best Performances for Each Hero in Stage 1 (Part 1 of 2)
Introduction
As Blizzard does not yet allow public access to the entirety of stats for the Overwatch League, I have been collecting all of the broadcasted stats by hand in an effort to organize them and get the most out of what’s accessible. I have created a spreadsheet that contains all of the available data from the first stage of play, averaged them, extrapolated them based on time, and will be sharing a weekly summary of those statistics.
This week I will be reviewing the first stage of the Overwatch League games. In this two-part feature, I will be highlighting the best performances coming out of the first five weeks of play. These will be specific to each hero, and to give context to the broadcasted end-of-game stats - as well as to allow for easy comparison - I have adjusted all of the numbers to a ‘per 10 minute’ basis. I will then compare each game against the average, and share the top statistical performances for each hero.
To not skew the results, I will only be including games where the player has at least five minutes of playtime on that hero. Additionally, there are only 14 heroes which have sufficient data to review. To make things a little more manageable for me, I will be splitting them up into groups of seven for the purposes of these write-ups. The heroes that I will be reviewing today are: D.Va, Genji, Junkrat, Lucio, McCree, Mercy, and Orisa. My next installment, which I will publish within the next few days, will include Pharah, Roadhog, Soldier: 76, Tracer, Widowmaker, Winston, and Zenyatta.
So let’s get started!
D.VA

The top D.Va performance from Stage 1 comes from Kalios, a player who, strangely enough, we haven’t seen since this series back in Week 2.
Boston dominated San Francisco on Horizon Lunar Colony, and perhaps the stat that makes this most evident is Kalios’ eliminations-per-death: a staggering 41:1.

Best of the Rest: Not to be outdone, Kalios’ replacement, Note, went 25:0 on Temple of Anubis, in a dominating performance against Houston in Week 5. He then followed that up by going 14:0 on the next map, Ilios.
GENJI

Profit, who was statistically the top Tracer of Stage 1, shows off his flexibility with the top Genji performance, as well.
The most impressive stat here is the fact that Profit tied Hydration and Shadowburn with the most Dragonblade kills in a single match (9), but did so in roughly half the time of his competition (Profit: 9.45 min, Hydration:18.83 min, Shadowburn: 17.80 min).

Best of the Rest: Agilities did everything in his power to will his team to victory against London in Week 2, including 8 Dragonblade kills and over 9,000 damage per 10 minutes on Horizon Lunar Colony.
JUNKRAT

The most impressive stat here is the one that isn’t listed: 15:25. That’s the amount of time Agilities played Junkrat on this map, one of the longest play-times Junkrat saw throughout Stage 1.
Despite that, he still managed to keep pace above the rest, putting up well-above average numbers in every measure.

Best of the Rest: Missing the cut-off point by just two seconds, Rascal had an insane 4 minutes and 58 seconds versus the L.A. Valiant on Horizon Lunar Colony - scoring both the highest Weapon Accuracy for Junkrat (30%), as well as being on pace for over 18,000 damage per 10 minutes.
LUCIO

Tied 1:1 on Oasis against Shanghai, Tobi took to his signature hero for the deciding map. Leaving much of the healing to Ryujehong’s Mercy, Tobi played very aggressively against the Dragons, ending the round at 19:1, and with the highest damage per 10 minutes recorded from any Lucio player in Stage 1.

Best of the Rest: Dhak was on pace for two separate entries into the top-5 (vs Shanghai, Week 1, and vs Florida, Week 4), but failed to meet the time requirements for each.
MCCREE

Babybay has a knack for trying to carry his team with impressive performances - including this week 2 match-up against Philadelphia - in which his McCree play led San Francisco to a decisive first-point hold on Dorado.
This was also the only McCree performance in Stage 1 to be above-average in every respect.
