For A taste for lifes weekly prompts edition 37: Prompt: 3 Negativity

In today’s world, it’s easy to get caught up in a cycle of negativity. From the constant flood of negative news to the Social media can make it feel like everyone is always complaining, but that’s not always the case.
It’s important to remember that negativity is not the only reality. There is still much good in the world, and we have the power to choose to focus on that.
Recognize the impact of negativity on our well-being
Negativity can have a harmful impact on our physical and mental health. It can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also make it harder to sleep, eat healthy, and exercise.
When we focus on the negative, we’re essentially telling our bodies and minds that we’re in danger, which can trigger a fight-or-flight response that can take a toll on our health.
Shift your focus to the positive
One of the best ways to overcome negativity is to consciously shift your focus to the positive. This doesn’t mean ignoring the negative altogether, but it does mean choosing to focus on the good things in your life.
When you catch yourself dwelling on the negative, make a conscious effort to redirect your thoughts to something positive. Like the beautiful sunset pictures I have taken and sharing with you.

Practice gratitude
Gratitude is a powerful antidote to negativity. When we take the time to appreciate the good things in our lives, we’re training our brains to focus on the positive.
There are many ways to practice gratitude, such as keeping a gratitude journal, saying thank you to others, and taking time for activities that you enjoy.
If able to, help those less forunate that yourself. It is easy to pick a card off a tree in your local area and buy what is on the card or sponser a family in need. Which is you can buy things for the whole family to help with the whole house to have a christmas. So many things that will make you feel happy this time of year. Also can make you sad to see all those in need. If you are unable to to monetary donations you can also help by volunteering. Great ways to practice gratitude.
Think positively
Our thoughts have a powerful impact on our reality. If we constantly tell ourselves that things are going to go wrong, they probably will.
On the other hand, if we believe that we can overcome challenges and achieve our goals, we’re more likely to succeed. Developing a positive mindset takes time and effort, but it’s worth it.
I kept a positive outlook on many horrible things while my kids were younger. Main thing was having no money. I always told my children that things will work out. They usually did because with that way of thinking you try to make things workout.
If you say things won’t work out, you already have given up and will not even try to make it work. My kids now adults still use this logic when things get tough for them.
Surround yourself with positive people
The people we spend time with can have a big impact on our outlook on life. Surround yourself with positive people who support and encourage you. Avoid spending time with people who are constantly negative and complaining.
Take care of yourself
Making sure that we’re taking care of our physical and mental health is essential for maintaining a positive attitude. This means eating healthy, getting enough sleep, and exercising regularly. It also means taking time for relaxation and stress relief.
Remember, it’s okay to feel negative sometimes. Life is full of ups and downs. However, it’s important not to let negativity take over. By following these tips, you can learn to overcome negativity and cultivate a more positive attitude.
