Our Advice to You Right Now is to “Let Go”
[Updated August 16, 2022] How life & the planet evolves should be left entirely to the flow of Source, God, the Higher Self.

FOR various reasons, mostly excuses for not being very motivated, I had not channeled my guides in over a week. So tonight, rather than voice channeling them, I decided to receive a message through automatic writing, as that seemed easier to do.
The message I received was short and to the point, and exactly what I needed to hear at this moment:
AUTOMATIC WRITING, Dec 5, 2020 — A Message from My Guides
Hello Alan.
Our advice to you right now is to “let go”.
Do not hold on to any preconceived notions of how your life and the planet should evolve.
How your life and the planet should evolve should be left entirely to the flow of God, to the flow of Source, to your Higher Self.
This is actually the best way to enjoy your life, to live a life that is totally fulfilled and totally joyous.
Because when you allow the flow of life to evolve in front of you, you will never be bored, you will never struggle, you will only be in awe of what Source/your Higher Self brings to you. It will always be something positive, something life-affirming, something life advancing.
The hardest part for you is to allow it to unfold, to get your ego out of the way, to get your controlling mind out of the way, to not resist the flow.
Resistance is the cause of all suffering.
Your thoughts are simply there to remind you of how you experienced similar situations in the past. They are not there to tell you how you must experience this situation in the present. You should not use them that way.
You should simply allow the present to tell you itself what is unfolding in front of you.
So, don’t worry, be happy, and observe the present.

THIS message reminds me of my sankalpa…
“Every Thing has Value and Purpose, Every Moment is Synchronicity” — my sankalpa
A “sankalpa” is a Hindu yoga philosophy concept that is often translated as a combination of “intention” and “affirmation”. It is something that one adopts to guide their life in a spiritual direction.
The line above is one of three intentions in my sankalpa, which I have set up in my Google Calendar to remind me of every other day. I am pretty good at remembering my sankalpa, especially the line above, which was the first one that I had adopted in 2019.

BUT at other times I forget my sankalpa, as my emotions and monkey mind take over and I get into a moody funk, feeling overwhelmed and wondering about the past, present, and future.
This past week, I was even blaming this on the fairly large solar flare. Maybe the whole planet is feeling that way because of the solar flare! Or, more likely, because of the seemingly unending pandemic challenges that the world is experiencing . The cold and dark of our northern hemisphere winter also sets us up for more moodiness, especially with this year’s more muted holiday celebrations. [note: this was originally written in December 2020]
“Every Thing has Value and Purpose, Every Moment is Synchronicity”
means, everything that I have been feeling and experiencing has value and purpose and is neither random nor an accident. That is true both for me individually, and for everything that I see and interpret in the world that I encounter and share with everyone and everything else.
From that perspective, and without going into too much detail, I find my present “flow” quite interesting. And I am now curious with anticipation as to just what my Higher Self has in store for me this coming week!
“Do everything with a mind that lets go. If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace. If you let go completely, you will know complete peace and freedom. Your struggles with the world will have come to an end…” — Ajahn Chah
To “let go” is to trust the spontaneity of your own being, to trust your own energy and power and strength, and to abandon yourself to the energy of your own life.
The word “abandon” itself may strike some readers as particularly strong. But each element of nature abandons itself to the life form. So does each atom of your body. To abandon yourself, then, to the power of your own life, is to rely upon the great forces within and yet beyond nature that gave birth to the universe and to you.
One of the very first steps toward mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health is precisely that kind of abandonment, that kind of acceptance and affirmation. The will to live is also inbred into each element of nature. And, if you trust your own spontaneity, then that will to be is joyfully released and expressed through all of your activities.
