“Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.” ― Scott Adams

I love to be creative, especially with food. It is beautiful to see what will happen and how everyone’s eyes light up.

Whenever I have a difficult time in life, creativity comes to my aid.

After the coffee shop closed where I was the chef and baker, I sat on the sofa in despair, watching food-related YouTube videos. I felt lost and was not sure what to do. I turned to create something beautiful.

I had an idea to make meringue sculptures. First, I made some with traditional ingredients, and then I made a sugar-free one with vibrant colors. Even though I never sold them, they brought me back to myself.

I found my confidence again through making something beautiful.

I had a wonderful time, got out of my comfort zone, and created something new. In life, it does not matter if something is a roaring success or not. What matters is standing up and making something you love.

My wish for you today is for you to break the mold and create something. The beauty is in sharing your creations with the world, no matter the outcome.

How has creativity helped you during a difficult time? Share your story in the comments. I appreciate you!

I want to share a lovely poem by my friend, Omy. They write about how forgiving ourselves is a gift we give ourselves. This poem touched my heart and I am grateful for it. Thank you, Omy, for writing such a touching piece!
