A Haiku Series

yes, it’s quite messy

open marriage open mind

makes us feel alive

roller coaster ride

when it feels like all too much

we somehow float on

thrilling, scary, raw,

not quite understood by most

this is just us, real

There is much to learn when two messy and tender hearts embark on being “open.” The honesty it takes to be with where you’re both at, to feel everything, to sit with your own truth and roll around in it, is staggering. One can not help but arrive at a new place altogether.
