Only You

A Poem

Only you can bring me back from this endless flailing Hoping for your hand to reach out to me and pull me into you

Only you can caress this head and make all the thoughts inside go away and never return because now I have you My oasis

Only you can breathe soul back into this lifeless body Resuscitate me with your smile and hold me with your heart until I stop shivering

Only you can dust me off Uncovering this underused mind and setting it free to do more than spend its time searching for you

The only problem with you, however, is that I don’t know you I don’t even know if you exist or if you ever will swoop down into my life and pluck me up and bring me with you so we can be together above the trees

Only you can find me when I am ready and I can honestly tell you I am so ready for only you
