Home
A Poem
Everything about you feels like home to me The way your smell lingers on my sheets and body Dusted with your love
There’s no place I’d rather be than right here Submerged in an ocean of felicity Under you Drowning in desire
When we’re apart I’m wayward A lost dog trying to find the scent to bring him home and reunite his heart
Time stalls without your glance All other eyes are barren and my eyes search far and wide for a place called home
It’s not a couch or a geographical destination this thing we call home It’s a feeling and for me, it’s you
If home is where the heart is I never want to leave this single moment of solace where time stands still and I know I’m home
