One Thing I Learned About Fixing Things Immediately: They Spoil

You need to stop procrastinating

My toilet seat broke over a year ago. I managed it until a month ago when a plumber came to fix something else in the house. It was such a relief to me the convenience of not always fighting with the seat every time I had to sit on it.

My water pressure was slow. I will grunt and be frustrated every time. Water dripping somewhere, I will sigh as I mopped it repeatedly.

I found out my standing fan was shocking anyone who touched it. It never crossed my mind to fix it until a friend said, “Why not call an electrician?”

I grew up with my brothers or my dad or a male figure, fixing stuff or having stuff taken to go get fixed.

If you had asked me why my stuff was spoilt, I will give you the whole story of how it broke down. It never crossed my mind that the story should be — oh, I need to get so or so to fix that quickly.
