One of the Most Influential People to Ever Live
He was chosen one of the ten most admired people in the world a record-breaking 59 times

He preached to live audiences of more than 210 million people in 185 countries, with an estimated lifetime audience, including radio and television broadcasts topping 2.2 billion people! Because of his many crusades, it is estimated he preached the gospel to more people than anyone in the history of Christianity. More than 3.2 million people responded to the invitation “to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior” at his crusades.
Chosen as one of the ten most admired men in the world a record-breaking fifty-nine times in the Gallop poll, he was a friend to many celebrities and presidents, and one of the most influential people to ever live. He once stated “My calling is to preach the love of God and the forgiveness of God and the fact that He does forgive us. That’s what the cross is all about, what the resurrection is all about, that’s the gospel.”
Called the Pope of Protestant America by some, and one of the world’s best-known preachers, he was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1918. William Franklin Graham, Jr. lived a long and full life, dying at the age of 99 years old in 2018.
Best known by the name Billy Graham, he was on television for more than six decades, with many of his rallies and sermons continuing to be broadcast today. He also operated a variety of media and publishing outlets and wrote dozens of books.
Let’s take a look at a small portion of this man’s extraordinary life through some of his words from a wide variety of books, videos, recordings, and the abundant resources of the web.
