Once Upon A Time…

Once upon a time, there was a man who had a very nice house. He was happy for his home, but more for his love. One day he found some panting people shouting towards him.

-“ Your house is on fire”, they told him.

-” What does it matter”, he responds to them… “since I have love”?

And he built a new house. But now, he had no love. And then they called him again:

-” Your house is burning down again”, they told him.

-” I don’t care at all”, he responds to them… “since I have no love”.

This is a short life story of Menelaos Lountemis (1912–1977), a wise Greek poet and writer.

In life, one should see the glass half full and not half empty and be grateful for what he has, without taking anything for granted. Then he will find the strength to move forward under any circumstances while remaining spiritually free.
