On 9/13/23 at 9 PM, the Way We Listen to True Crime Podcasts Will be Changed FOREVER
That’s because this Wednesday, The Veritas 7 — True Crime Podcast will release its unprecedented first completely interactive podcast episode that will let you become part of the cold case investigation

To be sure, there are a lot of really great true crime podcasts out there. That being said, despite many referring to themselves as ‘immersive,’ there are none that actually allow you to interact with them in real-time.
Additionally, there are no other true crime podcasts that we are aware of, that obtain all of the information they use to conduct their cold case investigations strictly via FOIA, FOIL, and public records requests (that is without relying on media articles or Wikipedia) at least, not until now.

That’s right, unlike any other podcast servicing this extremely popular genre, The Veritas 7 obtains all of its information directly from the very law enforcement agencies that are still actively working on those cases. Once we have that information, our team of at least 7 experienced investigators (and often more), begin breaking it down and looking for new ways to examine old evidence.
You might be surprised at how often this method actually yields results that are tantalizing enough to stimulate some detective to ramp up the attention and the resources their departments are devoting to these specific cold cases.

Perhaps more incredible, the information we receive — things such as police reports, autopsy reports, crime scene photographs, autopsy photographs, toxicology, and genetic material reports, trace evidence reports, and so much more — are then loaded into our comprehensive website at www.theveritas7.com for you, our listeners, to examine at your own leisure, or even while you’re listening to us discuss those very same documents, in real-time.

Sounds pretty cool huh? It does, but that’s not even close to the only thing that makes us different than any other true crime podcast.
What else makes us different
As part of the truly immersive and totally interactive experience that is a Veritas 7 podcast, we ask our listeners to join our Facebook Discussion Group, not just so we can share social media posts with you (which we love to do also), but because we establish LIVE group chat rooms where our staff are standing by every day, and most nights, to engage with you (again in real-time), answer your questions, and field your comments about a particular episode, case, or the way we covered a certain aspect of either.

Now that’s specifically unique!
But that’s still not all of the elements that separate The Veritas 7 from other true crime podcasts.
Because we were all true crime fans and passionate consumers of true crime content before we became creators of it, we are all very well aware that not all true crime content is created equally — neither is it consumed equally.
We learned quickly that while a large demographic of true crime podcast fans love revisiting old unsolved cases, there’s also an equally large segment of true crime content consumers who love the metaphysically tinged stories that deal with psychics, mediums, tarot, and other such supernaturally angled stories.
Likewise, there is also a large segment of the true-crime consumer population that loves those intricately graphic details and who loves to dive into the minutiae of a crime scene, gets buried in the intricacies of the forensics, and utterly loses themselves in the physical and psychological pathology of a case.
Lastly, there are also those fans of the genre who really love those active unsolved missing person cases that have tantalized us for years — Amelia Earhart anyone?
As a direct result of that knowledge, The Veritas 7 has become the first true crime podcast that attempts to provide at least some content for each of those extremely popular niche segments.
For the traditional cold case true crime enthusiast, we offer our primary case content. That’s at least three hours and most often more like 5 or 6 hours of traditional investigation from our entire panel. This content functions as the meat of each case we present.

For the listeners who can’t get enough of that metaphysical content, we offer our Gifted Insights program. That’s right, each case we investigate also gets a completely separate minimum of 30 minutes of content (usually more like 60 minutes) with our resident Psychic.

Next, for those who really love the graphic stuff and are fascinated with forensics and the intricate details of every case, we offer our TV7 UNCENSORED program. This no-holds-barred program delves into the deepest, darkest aspects of each case and even adds some colorful language from our panel.

And finally, for those true crime enthusiasts who love those active unsolved missing person cases, we have our Just GONE! program.

So, when you consider the interactivity of this podcast along with its website and the ability to follow along with the show while perusing the actual evidence files received from law enforcement agencies through FOIA requests — and then you combine that unprecedented level of interactivity with the additional niche elements that are provided by Gifted Insights, TV7 UNCENSORED, and Just Gone! — It’s not hard to imagine just how new and extraordinary this format is, particularly for a true-crime podcast.
All that being said, if you are a fan of the genre, and particularly if you find yourself listening to other true crime podcasts and feeling a bit — flat — at the end, you are definitely not going to want to miss this experience.
