Of Hearts Purpose

A Poem Exploring Life’s Journey

Is it one of observation, thought, and reflection? To observe, ponder, educate and write To bleed our souls in minds subconscious night Avoiding life’s Sirens, false promised infection

To ponder freely, minds perspectives braced Cautious or bold doing what’s right in its own haste Not closed-minded, having faith in Wisdom Our discomforting truths speak in short hums

Look and see, find the marrow of Being Action its proper place, inwards out careening Intent never content but of morals considered To engage and be engaged, ones of deeper thought

Yet closer to the truth in this pain we’ve wrought Shadows amongst others, to know life’s nature To bear life’s burdens, of righting nomenclature Of hearts purpose till death takes us apart
