Of Heart of Love and Heart Emojis
Paper Poetry W3 Epigraphic Prompt

“Except for love, nothing you see will remain forever— Rumi”
Of all the talks of moving away There’s a glue that holds, Pain and hurt all withstood Keeping self in sanity’s fold.
Sensitive minds carry with it Places of scar in grace, All but melts like thawing glacier, When wrapped in a warm embrace.
Why the water holds the ship Moon lights the night, Sullen mind empties, the way sea wind knows the plight, Sun falls upon a day subdued Making spirits bright, Starshine lives in sand’s folds Sea hums the lullaby alright,
What makes oceans a puddle Making bridges we seamlessly tread, Found in lines of poetry long after one’s dead, Why shapeless find contour When nostalgia waft and arrange, Moments of solace make home All ‘materials’ benched.
All those talks of roses and candles, They but wither and melt, What remains are flutters and chuckles When the world is dealt,
So, my friends Care to collect the shells kissed by sea, Put them in the jar designed by fairy-lights and memories, Put a note with words that lift And heal a fallen heart, ‘Cos nothing will stay in finality All ground to dust,
But, what will remain for the world to read, Is how wild souls were love-tamed —
Heart full of love, heart emojis and A beautiful heart framed!
