Hello, my little ghouls and goblins. Are we ready for a month’s worth of spooky ideas? I hope so because I have a lot of ideas for October. Not just for the Word-A-Day post, but for the Weekly Prompts and the Mid-Week Prompts as well.

As much as I love September, October is when I can really get inspired. I’m not a big fan of blood and guts, but I love creepy and eerie. Does that make sense? I hope so. I’m going to make all of the prompts for this month a little on the scary side. But, as always, you get to make them into anything you want. You can be spooky or fun, creepy or kookie, happy or horror. It’s up to you.

So, let’s get the month started off right. Here is your Word-A-Day list for the month of October 2022.

There you have it, kids. Your Word-A-Day list for October 2022. I had a ball putting this list together. It’s almost magical for me. Putting these lists together is a form of inspiration all in itself.

Remember, if you publish something from one of our prompts, be sure to tag me (@sapheyerblu) and leave a link to this post so others can come play too. And if you’re looking for a place to publish your work, check out our sister site, Amusing Responses. We accept responses to writing prompts from all around the platform. All we ask is that you link back to the original post and tag the prompt creator. Also please use one of the following tags: “Fiction”, “Poetry”, or “Creative Nonfiction”. That way your work will end up in the right category.

And just to see who all actually reads down this far, I have some interesting news. Weekly prompt posts will still come out on Mondays and the Mid-Week posts will still come out on Thursdays. However, on all those days in between, I will be posting a Halloween-themed prompt post. Yes, my friends. I’m going to give you something to write about throughout the month. I can’t wait to see what we can conjure up throughout the month.

Until next time, Happy Writing!!!
