Interview
October Interview With The Brain Is a Noodle
It’s spooky szn y’all!

[1] Does writing energize or exhaust you?
Getting started is exhausting. I feel like typing that first word is the hardest. Once I get rolling, all of that weight just falls away. Finishing an article is like a lightning bolt of energy.
I don’t have a lot of vices left, but the rush that comes just after that final edit is my kinda high.
[2] What is one food that represents the country you are currently in?
I’m gonna take this one step further, narrow it down to region, and go with cheese curds. I live in the land of the hot dish, but that doesn’t hold a candle to these. I don’t know if there is an official food for my state, but if there isn’t, these little nuggets of bliss should be it.
[3] What type of friend would you like to be?
A good one? Is there really any other answer here? If you ever find yourself being allowed one phone call, I’d like to think it's my phone that will ring on the other end.
[4] What have you given up on?
Being cool. Which ironically, might make me even cooler. No? Seriously though, I’ve come to embrace this suburban dad phase of my life, cargo shorts and all.
[5] What is one thing you’re committed to learning more about?
I’m committed to (re)learning Excel. I also want to get more familiar with Google Sheets, and see what I can do with each.
I’ve been toying around with offering free and paid products using the latter. This might be the most boring paragraph I’ve ever written (see Q4).
Faves?
- Favourite soup? #TeamTomatoRice
- Favourite stationery item? I have a cheap spiral notebook that I constantly scribble in. It’s something I just grabbed at Target ’cause I liked the elepahnts on the cover. Now it’s almost like I’ve forgotten that my phone has a Notes App on it.
- Favourite novelist? Right now it’s Kerouac. That seems to change early & often, though.
- Favourite blue item? Tie: The sky or the Caribbean.
- Favourite unhealthy beverage? Regular Coke.
