2023 WRITING PROMPT JOURNEY

Non-Fiction Writing Prompts — Week Five

Writing prompts for January 29th to February 4th

Welcome to Week Five of our 2023 Writing Prompt Journey! For veterans of this Journey, you’ll likely be anticipating the shift to Love Month in February… It is on its way! Starting next week, and lasting 4 weeks until the end of the month, all our prompts will be Valentine’s related, or at least “love” related to a degree.

I know not everyone is into Valentine’s or lovey-dovey stuff, but I’m a big believer that Valentine’s is a great time to treat yourself, your friends, and your family. Love isn’t restricted just to romantic relationships!

I’m also a big fan of approaches to Valentine’s writing that is the opposite of what is expected sometimes :) Who doesn’t love reading, writing, or watching scary stories/movies on February 14th?

Until then, without further ado, your three new non-fiction writing prompts await you below to provoke your creativity and guide you in your journal writing, blog posts, or random literary creations! Enjoy!

The simple rules for this Journey:

  1. Pick a prompt (or two or three!) and get writing.
  2. Post in our Publication, or post anywhere! Make sure to share a link in your post back to this Prompt post.
  3. Share a link to your prompted writing in the comments (or tag me in the post so I can find your prompted responses and help others find and support them too).
  4. Tag your post with “Writing Prompt Journey” and “Nonfiction”.
