Summary

The article reflects on the despair and confusion in the face of ongoing conflicts, particularly in Ukraine, and questions the effectiveness of spiritual and political efforts to achieve peace and humanity's role in these crises.

Abstract

The piece, titled "No Poetry Here," delves into the grim reality of war, specifically in Ukraine, and its impact on the nation's unity and the devastation of lives and towns. The author expresses a sense of helplessness and frustration over the inability to provide meaningful assistance, questioning the role of spirituality and the actions of world leaders in the midst of such turmoil. Despite the global call for unity and peace, the author feels that neither spiritual nor political interventions are effectively addressing the humanitarian crises, including the situation in Ukraine. The article also touches on the disappointment with the current political climate, referencing past events involving Trump and Putin, and the unfulfilled expectations from the Biden/Harris administration following the withdrawal from Afghanistan. The author, while acknowledging their own rants, calls out the inadequacy of writing and awareness in bringing about change and challenges the so-called "Lightworkers" to take action.

Opinions

  • The author feels that the war in Ukraine has paradoxically united the nation but also caused immense suffering and loss.
  • There is a deep sense of disillusionment with the efficacy of spiritual practices and religious unity in addressing humanitarian issues.
  • The author questions the sincerity and impact of secret meetings between political leaders like Trump and Putin and the subsequent destruction of papers.
  • There is criticism of the political leadership for failing to protect children and for the perceived failures of the Biden/Harris administration, particularly in the context of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
  • The author admits to ranting but stands by their right to express frustration and concern, emphasizing their humanity and care for the world's crises.
  • Writing and raising awareness are seen as insufficient means of effecting real change in the current global situation.
  • The author directly appeals to "Lightworkers," implying a sense of abandonment or a call to action for those who claim to work towards the betterment of humanity.

Ukraine — I don’t know how to help you.

“This war, a difficult war, has truly united our nation. You are asking me how’s the situation on the front line … there’s a front line everywhere,” Zelensky said in a briefing on Saturday.

“A few small towns just don’t exist anymore. And this is a tragedy. They are just gone. And people are also gone. They are gone forever. So we are all on the front line. The people who died there, they died among us,” he said.

The frontline is all around them and what can I do? Pray? Weep? Volunteer? Where and for what purpose? Collect items that will never reach the people? I do not understand how any of this is still possible in 2022. Aren’t we all better than this? I just do not understand hate, greed, and pain. The spiritual masters, the Shaman, crystals, muslin, candles, cards whatever the fuck is not working.

Greater purpose spiritually- Sorry I do not buy that. Religious and spiritual humans aren’t ever even pulling together for humanity. I am not ranting about just Ukraine as there are many dire situations on the planet. I am at such a loss. The politics just sucks- What was going on with all of those “secret” meetings- papers destroyed with Trump and Putin? Maybe now we know.

If you have any answers, let me know because our national leaders even now aren’t saving the children. I was hoping with the election Biden/Harris would pull it together. Since the pullout of Afghanistan and leaving so many behind, I have drifted to no man’s land. I believe no one.

I know I rant. I won’t apologize for it. I am entitled. I am human. I care. Writing does not help, awareness is not helping either.

Hey Lightworkers where are you?

If you choose to you may — Buy me a coffee?
