Abstract

The provided text is a segment from a serialized, interactive story titled "Drabble STORY ARC #2: Seek and Avenge." In this particular chapter, "No Guards in the Guard Room," the protagonist has just killed an orc guard and secured a safe haven by pulling up the ladder and bolting the trapdoor. The room, sparsely furnished with only a sleeping mat and a barrel of water, serves as a temporary refuge for both the protagonist and their dog, Scruff. After a moment of rest and a makeshift wash, the protagonist decides to venture out into the mysterious Ballax alone, reassuring Scruff of their return.
