No Bullshit Guide To Losing Weight Fast

This is how you get into the perfect shape for summer

Summer is coming. At least if you live in the northern hemisphere. Time to get your beach body going.

After having gained a few kilos in the last few months, mostly muscle but also a little fat, I managed to get lean again over the last few weeks.

I did it without fancy diets, but by using practical and effective methods that I would like to share in this article.

No More Useless Calories

I haven’t had any liquid calories in the last few weeks. Replacing soft drinks and fruit juices with water and unsweetened tea makes a huge difference. By doing so, most people save hundreds of calories a day. Alcohol makes you fat as well. If you are serious about losing weight, you might want to drink less.

Get Your Heart Pumping

To lose weight you need to burn more calories than you take in. Of course, you can achieve this by consuming fewer calories. However, if you also exercise and thus increase your energy consumption, your chances of success are particularly high.

When thinking about training for fat burning, most people imagine low-intensity endurance training. However, strength training and more intensive loads are also good for losing weight. This is mainly due to the so-called afterburn effect. Especially after intense exercise, your body burns considerably more calories for several hours after the workout.

Eat In A Way That Makes You Feel Full

The biggest challenge in losing weight is usually being hungry. I have found a very good solution to this problem by drinking a lot of water while eating my meals. Furthermore, I ate a lot of salad, vegetables, and fruit. This has allowed me to consume a high volume of food with a relatively low-calorie density. This way, I always felt full after eating, which is why hunger was not a big issue.

Boost Your Metabolism

You can also take advantage of the fat-burning effects of certain foods. I would especially recommend drinks like green tea, black coffee, or ginger tea. They ensure that you consume more energy and thus lose weight faster.

Bonus tip: If you drink only one espresso in the morning after getting up and then directly exercised, this has a miraculous effect. For me, this is probably the most effective way to lose weight.

Intermittent Fasting

During my weight loss phase, I kept putting in long periods of time where I didn’t eat. Mostly 18 to 20 hours. In this way, you force your body to fall back on your fat reserves to provide energy, since the carbohydrate stores are used up after some time.

Sustainability Is Key

Try to eat well every, but don’t try to be perfect. Eating well every day is good enough. If you aim for perfection, there is a high probability that the yo-yo effect will occur at some point and you will destroy your progress as a result of cravings. This is exactly the reason why I continued to eat chocolate in moderation despite my intention to lose weight.
