ty field of dreams. For me, Ali is this unsuspecting person. I recently turned fifty and am excited for a new chapter in my life, especially after severe medical problems in 2020. I have done surprisingly well, yet my random off days, admittingly, still set me back. Reading Ali’s poetry keeps me centered and focused on life’s bigger picture, helping me curb the tendency to dwell on things that I cannot change. I Present Her With A Single Red Rose

I am still relatively new to the Medium platform, finding my way like many other writers. However, I am beginning to get into my groove, setting time aside for creating and reading. I have always been curious to learn new things and love the variety of knowledge available from an array of gifted writers. Recently, I took part in Lifeline Publication’s 15-day poetry prompt challenge in which I discovered some beautiful poets, but one person’s work, in particular, struck my fancy. Her name is Ali.

Hooked with my first reading of one of Ali’s poems, I felt that she thoughtfully chose her words, instinctively knowing she had a lot of emotion to share with the world. So I continued to explore her work, enjoying each subsequent response to the daily prompt in the poetry challenge. By responding in the comments section, I learned that she has a kind, gentle soul, and her sensitive energy captured my heart. Her vibrancy reminded me of nature; fresh, open, and pure. These characteristics are the first reason I write a tribute to her, presenting her with a single red rose.

Upon further exploring Ali’s writing, I discovered that she also writes fiction and is a gifted painter. Some of her paintings are feature photos corresponding with her poetry pieces. In my opinion, to say her artwork is captivating is highly underrated. It is difficult, if not impossible, for me not to give her creations a second look after reading her poetry. Each brush stroke beautifully captures her written words, giving them wings, a life of their own. Words that fly off the paper soar like an uncaged bird; yes, it is clear to me that this is her release. Ali has a lot to say, and this is the second reason I write my tribute, presenting her with a single red rose.

Now and then, someone comes along in our lives, unknowingly planting seeds into an otherwise empty field of dreams. Ali is a well-rounded artist who inspires us to live a beautiful life even when we choose not to color within the lines or circumstances that prevent us from doing so. This sentiment is my third and final reason for my tribute, presenting her with a single red rose.
