NEW: Weekend Prompts #1
Creative ideas to write on during weekends.

Happy Friday!
“Weekend prompts??? What the heck is that even? We already have a weekly prompt and a story to reflect on” is what you may or may not be thinking as you’re reading the title of this article. Well…Here’s the thing…
My mind has been overly active and tireless over the last week. I blame it on the mini escape to the mountains last weekend. I came back refreshed and eager to write a lot of content these days so yeah…Here we are.
Let me explain what this new thing is about and how it works:
The weekend prompt is separate from the weekly prompt and a bit different. The ones I’ve been releasing every Monday are general (as in, the topics allow the writer to go in all kinds of different directions in his/her article). The weekend prompt is a bit more specific, yet a lot more allowing in terms of creativity. It will make more sense in a bit.
The reason why I decided to create the weekend prompt is because Know Thyself has been growing a lot lately and there has been a constant influx of new writers joining the community. My wish is to offer all of you equal opportunities to write, engage and connect with everybody on this publication.
Plus, I feel like the weekly prompts are more on the “contemplative” side of life. There’s no reason why we shouldn’t write on playful topics as well. Just because the niche of this publication is spirituality, doesn’t mean variety isn’t welcomed.
Anyway, I don’t want to make this article longer than it has to be. Let’s inaugurate the weekend prompts with 3 creative ideas to choose from:
- Write a list of questions to which you urgently need answers.
- Make a list of everything you’d like to say no to.
- You have the greenest grass around. No one’s could be greener…Right?
That’s it! Feel free to choose whichever resonates. Don’t worry too much about mixing spirituality with these prompts. That’s not so much the point. The point is to be creative, to be free, to be you. Let that playful side and humor of yours come out.
Thank you for reading! Happy Weekend everyone!
P.S: I get asked a lot by new writers joining the publication if the prompts are mandatory. They are not! They are 100% optional. Their purpose is to inspire you in case you want to write more content but are running out of ideas. So please, don’t worry too much about them! Use them only if they resonate.
