Never too Old to Splash in the Waves

January Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Self”

Water is my wet happy place.

I got many happy places in life. On the dunes. In the mountains. In a hammock. On a plane. Under a parachute. And of course on the beach. But all of these places step up if water is involved. Or let’s say almost all of them.

A lake surrounded by dunes. A roaring river in the mountains. A trickling stream next to my hammock. And the sound of the ocean when on the beach.

And I’ll never say no to a dip in the wet. If cold or warm doesn’t matter. I’ll even take a swim in a 5 degree (Celsius) cold lake high up in the Alps. As long as I can get in touch with water I’m happy.
