If you want to be productive in the long run, regular steady progress is the best approach.

Where a lot of people go wrong is they push themselves to their limit. When you do that, you take a “boom and bust” approach. You will exhaust yourself and then need to take extra time off to recover.

So, never do more today than you can completely recover from by tomorrow.

That way, you still have enough energy in the tank to do the same again tomorrow. Then, over time, you make consistent progress towards your goals.
