DECEMBER POETRY PROMPT

Never Again 2021

Is this goodbye 2021, or were you 2020 on playback mode?

Why don’t my buttons work as they should? Is the world stuck on repeat or misunderstood? Do you have this problem too? I used the time to put my life on review.

Frustration builds with ON and OFF now on the fritz. I will wait a tad longer, just snacking my PB and Ritz. I’ve kicked the TV and tapped the remote. I grab a pen and remind myself of an inspirational quote.

Oh wait, I see an image in view. Well, at least the blur is new. Oh heaven’s sake, now it has paused. I believe this struggle is also abroad.

Let’s stop the watch and wait. We can think of ideas to better create. I’ll pour out my heart with poems and stories. You keep one eye on the inventories.

That’s it! The remote took an assisted flight out my window. The TV was lonely, so shortly followed. I won’t provide info. I’m ready to see you and visit like before. No worries, my plastic bubble just needs to fit through the door.
