🎁Day 19: The stain on the carpet

The Forgotten Stain

Shadowed corners of a forgotten room, A carpet lies, holding tales in its womb. Beneath my feet, a stain unseen, Whispers secrets, in hues of green.

Once a canvas, pristine and fair, Now marked forever, wear and tear. A blotch that breathes, with stories untold, Of laughter, tears, the young and old.

Here, a child’s first steps were taken, There, a heart, joyous and shaken. A drop of wine from a lover’s toast, A silent witness to the ghost.

In this room, time gently treads, Echoing voices, the living and dead. Each fibre soaked in history’s dye, Moments captured, as years went by.

A soldier’s return, a mother’s cry, Hushed confessions under the midnight sky. In this stain, love and loss intertwine, A memory’s mosaic, eternally mine.

Through the weave, a story breathes, Of generations, their woven wreaths. A family’s legacy, in threads concealed, In every knot, their fate is sealed.

Oh, stain on the carpet, keeper of past, In your embrace, shadows are cast. Speak to me of times gone by, Of hidden tales, under the sky.

As I stand here, in silence profound, In your marks, history is bound. A tapestry of life, in colours rife, Each stain, a chapter, in the book of life.
