My Top 7 Free Subscriptions I’ll Never Cancel as a Content Creator

A few months ago, I put out a story on the top 7 PAID subscriptions I can’t see myself ever canceling, as a content creator.

You can read that story here…

That article inspired me to write my top 7 FREE subscriptions I’ll never cancel as a content creator.

These gems are gold, and amazingly enough, they’re free!

So, if you haven’t tried them out, it’s truly risk-free to check them out and see what you think.

Anyway, here they are…

Top 7 Free Subscriptions I’ll Never Cancel as a Content Creator

I can’t believe these are free!

1. Chenell’s newsletter — Growth in Reverse

I found her on Twitter and she puts out amazing newsletters once a week on Sundays about business growth stories.

It reminds me a lot of Starter Story.

Her latest email was about a creator who made $70K+ from a course built in just 7 days!

2. Trello

For project management, you really can’t go wrong with Trello. I don’t use this as often as a I should but, when I do, it’s game-changing for keeping me on track and staying on task.

Trello

I’m on various Trello workspaces, too, for clients.

If you haven’t tried out Trello, I highly recommend it.

Visit Trello to try it out.

3. Google Keyword Planner

For keyword research, go straight to the source with Google Keyword Planner. It’s pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Google Keyword Planner

You can do endless keyword research to check volume and competition of keywords you want to rank for. And, it’s totally free!

Check out Google Keyword Planner

4. Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest

I tend to use multiple SEO and keyword research tools. I’ve been on Ubersuggest for years.

The free account gives you limited access (3 uses a day, I think) but, you get incredibly helpful info to learn about keyword strength, competition, volume, and other metrics.

They offer website audits and other features, too!

Check out Ubersuggest

5. Reddit

I wouldn’t call this a subscription but, it’s an incredibly useful and informative tool to learn about community opinion.

Any time I want to get an unbiased look at what the public thinks about something, I turn to Reddit.

Just go to Google and type your search query and add the words review reddit to the end, like this: “search term review reddit.”

6. Google Analytics

Google Analytics

Learn about your site's analytics, traffic, acquisition and behavior data, audience details, and much more.

I can’t believe this is totally free!

More than 38 million websites use Google Analytics!

If you’re not using it for your site, you should be.

Head to Google Analytics to learn more.

7. Medium

To be clear, I have a paid and a free Medium subscription. The free subscription gets you free limited access to the platform. The paid version (it’s only $5/month) gets you unlimited access.

Medium

Medium is awesome for getting inspired, getting story ideas if you’re a Medium writer, and just binge-reading the latest from the awesome writers the platform supports.

The free subscription is cool to get a feel for how Medium works and read content from time to time.

But, I highly recommend the paid account. It’s especially useful if you write for Medium.

If you’d like to support me as a writer, consider signing up to become a Medium member. It’s just $5 a month and you get unlimited access to Medium.

Onto You!

There you go!

What are some free subscriptions that you can’t live without?

Note: Affiliate links are in this article which means if you click a link and make a purchase, I earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
